Hi, I’m Nicola, a fully qualified acupuncturist (BSc) based in Oadby and Wigston. I offer personalised acupuncture treatments to help restore balance, relieve pain and support overall wellbeing.
My approach combines the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a modern understanding of health to treat the whole person — not just the symptoms. I work with patients experiencing issues such as pain, stress, fatigue, pregnancy symptoms, hormonal changes and other conditions that affect quality of life.

About three weeks before my due date, I started treatment with Nicola to prepare for birth. She is a real professional and I always felt in the best of hands. What intrigued me was Nicola’s vision to make people feel better and happier. I didn’t know much about acupuncture and Nicola has been a blessing to me! I decided to seek acupuncture treatment for several reasons: I was averaging about 2-4 headaches a week, I had very low energy level, stomach cramping, gas and bloating and, no matter how much I was resting or sleeping, I was extremely fatigued. Nicola spent time listening to me and asking questions about my life, habits and concerns that led her to some insightful conclusions about how my spirit and body were out of balance. She recommended some simple changes in my routines. After about 10 treatments (initially weekly then monthly), I have experienced a significant decrease in the frequency, duration and intensity of my headaches. I was quite skeptical about acupuncture, but sought a certified practice on the advice of a friend. My treatments are reimbursed if you have additional health insurance and Nicola Allen is affiliated with the AAC. Nicola is professional and friendly, she takes the time for you and asks a lot to get a good picture of your complaints. The treatment itself is not painful at all and I felt very relaxed afterwards. After 2 or 3 treatments I had the first positive results. Nicola answers all my questions and provides clear explanations. After my experience with her, I would recommend everyone to try this or at least contact her if you want to know whether acupuncture can also help with your complaints.
